※ Recently the the Harmony art centre has resembled a potter’s studio. Some of the kindergarten children have enjoyed the simplicity of using something provided by nature, clay, to mold, shape and bring their ideas to life in such a tactile way. We have seen them make tiny cups complete with saucer and stirrer, vegetables, cakes, sea creatures and even full masks for their face! ※ It’s been a little while, but let’s take a moment to look back on the Summer School! It was Broadway Week at Harmony! The children worked together to perform the musical Beauty and the Beast! We learned about what Broadway is and the amazing plays they put on! Each day began with learning the words to the songs and practicing singing them together! Then we learned the choreography. We also created costumes and props for our characters using many different materials! The children worked hard painting a beautiful ballroom set to use for the final song. Throughout all of this we also got to make many different summer themed crafts! The children used stamps and fabric markers to design their own cloth bags, used stencils and paint spray to create beautiful cards, watermelon lanyards and more! They put on an amazing performance and became quite the Broadway actors and actresses! 🎨🎵🎤

※ During the heat of summer, with the sun burning bright in the blue sky, the children at Harmony found the best to cool down while having fun….. in the pool!!! After discussing how to play safely, the children could relax, cool down and find all sorts of fun ways to play with water and their toys together! Swirling, splashing, pouring, floating! Everyone ended up wet, cool and happy!!!

※ 【Summer School 2025】☀️🌊🇬🇧 For this year’s Summer School at Harmony, the children began the first day by learning all about what to do when you go to the airport to travel by airplane. They enjoyed checking in their big suitcase, receiving the luggage tag and boarding pass, then having their passport checked and stamped. They were able to use their own ideas about how long they were visiting for and giving the reason for their travel. During day one they traveled to England and learned many fascinating facts about the country and culture. They were surprised to find out how big the stones are at Stonehenge and enjoyed talking about the castles, food and sports! After learning about football, the children had great fun taking penalty kicks, then making their own finger footballers! ※ Summer means sleepover at Harmony! ☀️The HIS children had a smashing time working together to split a watermelon! There were happy faces all round when they could eat some afterwards. They also enjoyed some water fun at the pool, playing card games, eating a tasty curry, then watching a movie! For the main event of the Culture Day the kindergarten children had their own Olympic Games! After making an Olympic torch, they took part in a variety of sporting challenges, such as shot put and discus throw. The highlight came when they threw the javelin (safe and soft of course!). ※ 【🖌️Japanese Calligraphy Day🖌️】 The kindergarten children enjoyed a special Japanese class. A Japanese calligraphy teacher was invited to show them how to use the brush and ink. The children enjoyed exploring how to use their brush strokes in a variety of ways! Beginning with letters and numbers, then symbols, the children were then able to create large drawings together, as well as their own drawings, of faces, people, animals, shapes, hands and even dinosaurs!
